The Village Paderne

Paderne offers a mini market, bank, post office, pharmacy, little cafes and a beautiful 16th century church. In and around Paderne you will find and a few typical Portuguese restaurants where you can try real Portuguese food.
On the first Saturday of every month Paderne holds a small local gypsy market which is worth visiting for your bargains!

To the coast with its golden beaches it is only a 15 minutes drive by car. Paderne is the perfect place to start your excursions to the countryside, the West coast or to go sight-seeing in Lagos, Loulé, Faro, Olhão or Tavira. If you like to see the mountains, do not forget to go to Monchique, Salir and Alte.
If you are interested in culture and history it is worth paying a visit to the capital of Lisbon with the castle of São Jorge and the river Tejo or stroll around in Seville to see the cathedral of Giralda or the Moorish castle Alcazar. Do not forget to try the famous tapas.
